If you really want to bulk up, get big and gain muscle mass, one of the first things you need to sort out is your weight gain diet. Sadly a healthy weight gaining diet is usually the missing ingredient in the arsenals of most aspiring bodybuilders!

The usual tendency of trainers is to focus on bodybuilding program in the gym and seldom do they think about what happens outside of it!

Don’t just eat whatever and whenever, with no specific structure to your diet. You’ll build muscles and gain weight faster if you follow a proven bodybuilding plan.

I’ve gathered a list of the best weight gaining diet tip that you should follow if you really want to gain weight and increase muscle mass fast. These tips are a must!

1. Know Your Numbers. You should be familiar with your body’s: -Basal Metabolic Rate -Total Daily Energy Expenditure -Daily Protein Needs -Daily Caloric Needs

What you should remember is that a great body is NOT developed in the gym but in the kitchen and during recovery. This is the reason why you should watch what you’re doing outside the gym and how these affect you muscle building efforts.

3. Detox Your entire House. Get rid of unhealthy foods in your house. That includes the emergency crisps and sweets stashed in your bedroom and in your office desk! You know what these foods are: ice cream, refined carbohydrates, cookies, donuts, chips, crisps, chocolates, pastries, most baked goodies, fried foods, highly processed meats, most microwaveable meals, soft drinks, ready made juices, carbonated drinks, excessive alcohol, etc.

So that even if you crave for them, you won’t be able to get your hands on them!

4. Plan ahead and prepare meals in advance. This is avoid the stress of having to worry about your diet. You can go about doing your daily business without worries.

Always stock on food supply. Go to the grocery store twice a week every week. This will eliminate the temptation of getting junk food when you run out of food supply in the house.

2. Have a Pre and Post-Workout Drink/Meal Ready Every Time You Train. Every time we work out, we lose minerals, we burn up energy, our body produces lactic acid and hormones which affect our muscles.

As you are trying to build as much muscle and lose fat, bear in mind that you should take in carbohydrates pre-workout and protein and carbs post-workout.

Smoothies is the most convenient mode of pre-workout and post-workout drink from fruits and vegetables.

If you’re a active person, buy items which would let you bring your prepared meals with you. Articles such as disposable cutlery, lunch boxes, paper napkins, vacuum flask, resealable plastic and sandwich bags and food containers.

Are you the naturally skinny guy/girl trying to put on weight and gain muscle mass?

I understand how you feel. I was underweight myself. My metabolism was fast and my arms and legs looked like twigs.

I read every bodybuilding magazine I could get my hands on and took one weight gain supplement after another. At one time, I was spending over $300 a month in my quest to get bigger.

I was ready to give up when I came across Vince Del Monte’s No nonsense Muscle Building program. What got my attention was the fact that Vince was also once a skinny guy but within 6 months went from being a 139-lb weakling to a 197-lb muscle man with only 10% body fat.

But none of them was effective.

I was determined to put his system to the test. After 15 weeks, I gained weight like never before.

So let me share here the things I learned from Vince Del Monte’s No nonsense Muscle Building e-book. The top rules for skinny guys (which I followed dilligently), according to Vince Del Monte are:

Body building Tip #1: Eat Big servings of Wholesome, Healthy Food 5 to 6 Times a Day

If you’re consistently feeding your muscles, they have no choice but to grow. Deprive them of proper nutrition, and it will be physically impossible for them to increase in size.

Body building Tip #2: Conserve Your Energy

Consume foods like:

* Organic Fruits *Organic Vegetables *Nuts and seeds which are good sources of high-quality good fats *Legumes and sprouted grains *Lean meats and/0r seafood

Avoid foods that are: -high in fat -high in sugar -simple carbohydrates -processed foods -foods high in preservatives -and foods that have ingredients you are not familiar with

One of the biggest factors that will affect your bodybuidling efforts is your diet. Be certain that you have the correct weight gain diet. The other factors are your lifestyle and weight training.

Conserve your calories and put them towards your muscle growth, so avoid high volume work. Don’t spend more than an hour at the gym go for high load work. Get in the gym, train hard and get out fast.

Compound exercises make every muscle on your body bigger because they literally work your entire body. So I challenge you to just experiment with this one rule alone and I guarantee you that it will give you MASSIVE results.

Get enough rest in between your workouts. Remember that you’re muscles actually grow NOT during your workout but during your rest period.

Skinny guys like us need even more rest so make sure you abide by this rule or you’ll just compromise yourself and end up not gaining the maximum benefits from your hard work!

Conclusion

Most workouts would require 20 sets or more. Your workout should only be 10 to 12 sets but aim for the heavy weights and push yourself to the limit.

A good start is getting enough sleep. Be in bed before midnight and avoid stying up late. Research has shown that higher quality rest is achieved if we sleep before midnight. So stay away from those frequent all-nighters and reduce your late night drinks with your friends.

You won’t need to do much of cardio exercise as long as you’re consuming smart, lean and wholesome foods. Don’t overdo your cardio work out, moderate intensity cardio workoutstwicwe a week will be enough.

Body building Tip #3: Focus on Compound Exercises Compound exercises are those that involve the main muscle groups together, such as squats, lunges, rows, presses, body lifts and deadlifts. You will gain more muscle growth if your whole body is engaged as much as you can in all exercise that you do.

Building Muscle Mass Rule #4: Get Enough Rest Time, Quantity-Wise and Quality-Wise

To summarize your new weight lifting program: -Have proper diet, consuming in large quantities every 2 to 3 hours -Conserve your energy, spend proper amount of time at the gym and get out -train by doing Compound Exercises -get adequate rest.

Follow this process religiously over a few months and it’s guaranteed you will go from scrawny to brawny!

People ask me what bodybuilding tips I can give for skinny guys who have been struggling to produce muscle gain after training for some time already. If you’re one of them, it’s likely that you are committing one of the 2 most common body building mistakes: Incorrect Technique and Insufficient Muscular Stimulation. If you are determined to bulk up, then read and apply these body building tips as if your life depended on it!

Body building Tip #1. Exercise With Proper Form (Otherwise Just Go Home!)

When you’re in the gym, it’s crucial that you execute your bodybuilding routines with proper form.

Although the proper technique for each exercise will vary, the main principles are to execute with correct tempo, intensity, rep range and to avoid extraneous movements. It will also be good to watch bodybuilding video demos from reputable trainers.

Before you start your routine, make sure you know how its done properly. Don’t presume to know without studying the proper technique first. I wasn’t joking when I said that it’s better if you go home than train with improper technique as you won’t get the results you are striving for.

When you cheat for, the only person you are harming is yourself. It is important that you keep correct form all throughout your weight lifting program. This is to prevent injuries and to accomplish the muscle gains you are aspiring for.

If you just started your weight training program, start by doing light weights first. Learn correct technique first and then progressively add weight as your body gets stronger. To start I recommend only working out 3 times per week. As you get stronger you can progressively intensify your load.

Do not underestimate the impact of proper weight training technique has on your muscle gains. I kid you not this alone can make all the difference to your muscle size!

You may go to www.muscle4hardgainers.com for my free videos of excellent muscle building routines.

Bodybuilding Tip #2: Progressive Overload

For each workout, aspire to life heavier weights than before. The weight you’re adding is irrelevant as long as your progress is consistent.

If you train like this, you will be sure to succeed!

Progressive overload by itself can help you gain impressive muscular growth and increase your strength level. Set your goal to surpass yourself from your last efforts.

Remember that as long as you are making measurable signs of weight training progress, your body will produce the muscular growth you are working for. This can be 1 extra repetition, one extra set or extra weight or shorter recovery time.

For skinny guys out there who want to start bodybuilding, below are some tips for you. Combined with a healthy weight gain diet and the free bodybuilding routines given at the end, your goal will surely be attained.

The secret to achieve muscle growth is knowing how muscles grow. The factor that play a role in determining amount and rate of muscle growth are: -your lifestyle -nutrition -rate of your muscle recovery -hormone production and response -metabolism -stress and -your mindset.

If you’re just starting to body building, here are top tips I can give you:

One mistake commonly made by beginners is choosing a program unsuitable to their genetic make up. When they fail to gain desired results they end up quitting. The key to success is to know your body and adopt a muscle bodybuilding program which is correct for your type.

Tip#1: Consider Your Body Build When Setting your Goals.

Every person has a different capacity to grow muscle. You have to know how much protein synthesis your body is capable of, your testosterone and costisone levels and your insulin response as these influence muscle growth.

Stupid, stupid, stupid mistake.

Do your research and find a weight training program suitable to your goals and situation. You can get a mentor, hire a reputable personal trainer, buy bodybuilding DVDs, or buy a multi media program that will educate you about muscle building. Whatever you do, make sure the program you’re doing is proven, tried and tested then study the program fully before you start.

You should be realistic in your goals to fully maximize your body’s potential. If you are not in the Mesomorph category, don’t expect to develop you legs or biceps as fast as them. Just aim to work on fully utilizing your body’s potentials.

For years, I trained before researching properly about muscle building. I didn’t have a program and my weight training routine depended on my moods, how much I felt like lifting or how motivated I was at the time. My exercise routines and weight training were inconsistent. I didn’t achieve the muscle growth I was aiming for.

The best Muscle Building program I have seen is No Nonsense Muscle Building by Vince DelMonte. For women, you can try No Nonsense Body Shaping for Women, also by Vince DelMonte (and Shannon Clark).

Body type is an important factor in muscle building capacity. The body types are: -Mesomorphs – those who can build muscles like weeds, -Endomorphs – those who gain fat faster than weeds can grow. They need to work more. -Ectomorph – these are the naturally skinny types, who would typically would look lke a weed.

Tip #2: Educate Yourself

If you are not familiar with the methods of building muscle mass, it is better to learn from the start. Otherwise, how can you expect to be successful? Bodybuilding for muscle growth requires a great deal of hard work, determination and a lot of mental and physical flexibility.

Don’t jump from one program to another within 2 weeks. That’s another stupid mistake and a guaranteed recipe for failure. That’s just like cooking a meal with only half the ingredients and then declaring that the recipe sucks! (I should know I used to do train like that!)

The next step is to follow the program until its completion. Commit yourself, at the same time monitor your results and track your progress. It pays to be consistent and persistent.

For skinny guys like myself, your priority is to bulk up. To do this, you need a weight gain diet and proper bodybuilding routines.

Tip #3. Model a Proven Plan to Getting Big Fast – and See it Through!

You will only fail if you give up before the outcome become visible. Just take it one step at a time and adhere to one program. You will see results each day.
